We had the pleasure of taking part in our first photo shoot at Boyne Hill House, in Navan. Organized by the wonderful Pamela from Pamela Matthews Hair and Makeup, this was her first shoot that she has directed and what a turn out it was! With a fabulous team, she was able to achieve her boho visuals and ideas for this set. With the help of her sister KellyAnne, this sister act put together some stunning boho bridal inspired looks. Styling our gorgeous model Laura from Mandy Catwalk modelling agency, in the latest Bohemian trend of dresses and headpieces provided by MK Bridal and ByKYNA. From the hair to the makeup, these girls are the best in the business. With a profile of Ireland am, Virgin Media. publications RSVP etc, it is no wonder these ladies are any bride's dream team.
The wonderful Sara Kennedy was on site also, assisting Pamela with visual direction and formalizing a full styled shoot. Sara approach me in taking part in this photoshoot, and to say I nearly lost my life with excitement is an understatement! I was absolutely delighted with the opportunity to work with such an amazing team. For thoses of you that don't know of Sara in the wedding industry , you should do! She does amazing work with Virgin Media, IRS Wedding show, Ireland AM just to name a few.
All images were captured by the amazing Darren from Darren Byrne Photography. So creative in his work and also capturing images that are in the moment. Darren as a wedding photographer was so easy to talk to, very relaxed on site. With my nerves getting the better of me being my first professional photoshoot, Darren quickly knows how to put you at ease, which is a must have characteristic in your wedding photographer!
Boyne hill house is nested in the beautiful Navan. The grounds alone are amazing for any wedding or event. When I first turned off the main road into Boyne Hill House gates, I was instantly was saying "wow".. The drive up to the main house was breath taking, surrounded by beautiful lawns, a secret garden, woodlands and even a backdrop of a flowing river, I knew why Pamela picked this gorgeous location. Perfect venue for your wedding whether it was indoors or outdoors, Boyne Hill House can deliver so many options for your day.
When I was approached to style this photoshoot, I knew I wanted to create that wow factor. Keeping to my rule that less is more, our wicker moongate arch was going to be the main feature to our ceremony set. Allowing the appreciation of what Boyne Hill House has to offer. Paired with a mix of popular choices of flowers for a boho inspired wedding and mix textures of foliage, this was the result. This 7ft arch is one of our popular pieces to our collection and there is no guessing why!
No boho wedding is complete without a peacock chair! When Pamela made it her only request of our items, we had to make it special. Peacock chairs are used as a pair for the wedding couple, whether it is for the ceremony or for the dinner table. It is a stunning piece by itself, or you can style to your taste. For Boyne Hill, we created a natural flowing garland paired with a sheep skin rug.
Our final set was of course our luxury boho picnic. Inspired by my New Zealand Life of nine years, I knew I had to bring boho picnics to Ireland. A great alternative to any celebrations, and it is no wonder why it is becoming so popular in many other countries.
Overall for my first photoshoot, I am blessed to have worked with such an amazing team. All so talented in their own right, I love what we have created together. These images are just stunning and I can't wait to create another set with this dream team!
